Snow Summit and Bear Mountain offer equipment rentals and lessons for skiers and snowboarders who are 4 years or older. Complete packages include lesson, lift ticket and rental, or choose from a variety of half or full day lessons in either private or group settings. Both resorts offer plenty of beginner terrain, with Bear Mountain having the largest learning area in the region, including a separate children’s area.

Alpine Slide at Magic Mountain
The Alpine Slide is Southern California’s only authentic bobsled experience. After a scenic chairlift ride, hop on your individually-controlled sled and head down one of their two quarter-mile tracks. Each sled has Teflon runners, ball-bearing wheels and handle brakes. Children who are 2 to 6 years of age and under 48” ride free with an adult (18 years or older).

Action Zipline doesn’t let winter stand in the way of its exciting treetop adventures—they run year round, except in lightning or heavy snow. On their 9 different ziplines, riders will experience speeds of up to 40 mph. The three hour tour includes a two mile safari jeep ride, a scenic hike (including a suspension bridge), 9 different ziplines and all the necessary equipment and safety instruction. Riders must be 8 years or older and weigh at least 75 lbs.
